WeedPons.com Prepares for Another Rush of Online Holiday Deal Shoppers

(OTC: WDLF), a business social network and digital marketplace company with media properties in the rapidly expanding legal cannabis industry, is pleased to report a record breaking week of consumer shopping traffic and participating marijuana dispensaries at The WeedLife Network's website, WeedPons.com. In the week leading up to and the week after "Green Friday," the traditional start of the annual holiday shopping season, WeedPons.com received a surge of consumer traffic that tripled its expectation going in to the holiday weekend.

The 2016 Green Friday discount weekend for cannabis dispensary retailers was expected to create an even larger financial windfall from the previous year in sales across legal marijuana markets like Colorado, California and Washington. The outcome of online consumers searching for deals in 2016, compared to 2015 surprised even the experts.

"We expected online consumer traffic on WeedPons.com to double this year over last year's 'Green Friday' and 'Cyber Monday' weekend, so when it tripled to 45k page views a day from Thursday (Thanksgiving) to the following Monday it set off some bells," says Shawn Tapp, CEO and co-founder of The WeedLife Network. "We have been watching the online consumer demographic for deal shoppers change drastically this year, and now we are supporting dispensaries with services in a way that allows them to get ahead of the new trend."
